Message I finish a service call last night, and as I'm about to throw my tool kit in the hatch, I turn the key and feel a decrease in resistance in the rear lock. Sure enough, the key pops out looking like this: (insert out of focus pic here)

Now we have a bit of a problem here. My spare key is in my jacket. In the car. Just how the !@#$ am I going to get it? Fortunately, I have my cell, but before I place that fateful and humiliating call, I think:

"Well, the bulk of the key is in the lock, maybe if I push in the key fob and twist it I'll be able to pop the hatch...

Frabjous Day! It worked! I grab my coat with the spare key (and kiss it, I'm not afraid to admit.. the key, not the coat) and head home. 15 minutes later with two long wires on sticks (which I also carry... don't ask.) I have retrieved the broken key from the lock. Mebbe I have an alternate career as a lock technician
ahead of me, but for now, I'm just glad I could get it out and functioning.

OK, who has a titanium key blank for sale...

zlunatic: "Thanks to all those who gave their honest opinions. You have decided, the wing must go so be it. Anyone know where I can get the 99JSpec wing?"

DutchZX: "we don't like your haircut either, get the J-Spec one now."
